Substance use is a critical problem and area of educational need in Maine. Therefore, it’s a priority for Lunder-Dineen, and we’re collaborating with experts across Maine to develop education and other resources to help health care clinicians provide optimal care.
For example, we collaborated with several experts from the Bangor area to develop unique education on bath salts abuse. We’re also in the process of developing education centered on screening for unhealthy alcohol use.
All of our efforts include guidance on interprofessional education and practice, which is consistent with trends and national calls-to-action for education on patient-centered, team-based standards of care.
