Mental & Behavioral Health

Mental health is a critical yet underserved area of need across Maine, and it is an educational priority for Lunder-Dineen. Budget cuts impact access to care for Maine residents, as do the challenges of delivering adequate care in rural settings. Mental health conditions are also associated with other serious medical illnesses, which often makes treatment complex and requires delivery of care across multidisciplinary providers and practice settings.

In our statewide needs assessment, health care professionals cite mental and behavioral health as a therapeutic area where more innovative and relevant education is needed so they can find guidance to enhance how they care for their patients.
