Staff Development Coordinator, Maine Veterans’ Homes Scarborough
Lacey Fogg, RN, BSN is the nurse educator at the Maine Veterans’ Homes in Scarborough. She has over 10 years of experience in long term care and at Maine Veterans’ Homes. She began her career in the medical field as a Certified Nursing Assistant as she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. Lacey graduated from the University of Southern Maine in 2012 with her BSN.
She has gained experience at Maine Veterans’ Homes in bedside nursing as a charge nurse, nurse supervisor, and Assistant Nurse Manager. In 2019, Lacey transitioned into her role in education as the Staff Development Coordinator at MVH where she loves to assist in the on boarding and orientation of the new nurses as well as all other staff in the facility.
Lacey completed the Lunder Dineen Preceptor program in 2018 with two colleagues and upon returning to work developed a preceptor program which changed the clinical orientation for all newly employed nurses at MVH. She works with all clinical students through their time at MVH which allows her love for mentoring and assisting with the education for nursing students and new nurses to continue to grow.
