Partnerships

Lunder-Dineen collaborates with many organizations to create, promote, and sustain high quality education in Maine.

Featured Partners

Lunder-Dineen is fortunate and proud to partner with the following featured organizations to accomplish exciting work in 2022.

ANA-Maine: Innovative Partnership to Educate Maine’s Northern Maine Rural Nurses

Lunder-Dineen collaborated with ANA-Maine to educate nurses in rural areas of northern Maine. Our team helped field a needs assessment and develop a series of three webinars that were piloted with nurses at Northern Maine Medical Center and Northern Light AR Gould. Nursing contact hours were offered. We plan to survey these participants and disseminate the education widely to nurses statewide in 2022.

CareQuest

Lunder-Dineen is the recipient of a $100,000 grant from the CareQuest Institute of Oral Health. In 2022, our team will modify the MOTIVATE curriculum and establish a new program called MOTIVATE At Home. It will provide tools and education on oral health for family members and non clinical caregivers of older adults who live in the community at large. This will significantly expand the overall reach of MOTIVATE. The expansion will start in southern Maine, where Lunder-Dineen is partnering with the Southern Maine Agency on Aging, whereby their staff and an ad hoc advisory group of caregivers will help to shape the program design. Our evaluation partner for this initiative is the University of Maine, Center on Aging. They will help us conduct a needs assessment and reach caregivers of older adults in that area of the state. Eventually the program will expand to cover all of Maine.

The Care Quest Institute and Lunder-Dineen and the MOTIVATE team collaborated on a poster which explains the importance of oral health for the overall health of older adults.

Maine Bureau of Veterans Services (MBVS)

Lunder-Dineen collaborated with the MBVS to design, develop and host a CME webinar to educate health professionals all across Maine about the oral health needs of veterans.

Maine Community Foundation: Welch Charitable Fund

With the support of the Welch Charitable Fund, Lunder-Dineen is providing a motivational interviewing practice program designed specifically for primary care providers to practice holding conversations about alcohol with patients

NCECE

NCECE is a training and technical assistance Center that provides innovative and culturally competent models of care, inter-professional training and educational resources, and technical assistance to health care professionals providing care to an increasingly vulnerable population: older adults.

Partnerships

Lunder-Dineen uses a multi-stakeholder approach that creates an expanded, collective impact. Our team identifies, cultivates, and builds partnerships across Maine, Mass General Brigham, and the nation. Those partners include, but are not limited to, the following organizations.
