Dr. Clifford Milo Singer trained in general psychiatry and geriatric medicine at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, Oregon. He is currently Chief of Geriatric Mental Health and Neuropsychiatry at Acadia Hospital and Eastern Maine Medical Center and an Adjunct Professor at the University of Maine in Orono. He was Oregon’s Gerontology Professional of the Year in 1993 and in 2005, given a special award from the Oregon Department of Health and Human Services for his contributions to older adults with dementia and mental illness. He has been voted to the “Best Doctors in America” list every year since 2003, and has made national television and radio appearances speaking on topics related to aging. He has published 32 papers and 18 book chapters and given more than 300 presentations at regional and national meetings.
