Update on Relaunch of Fall 2021 Virtual Program
As with the 2020 program, our next launch will be fully virtual with eight learning modules launching September 2021 and a workshop split over two half-days, October 27 and October 28. Additional information will be made as it is available. If you have questions about the program, please email email@example.com.
The Lunder-Dineen Maine Nurse Preceptor Education program began in 2015. The over-arching goal of the program is to advance and support the recruitment, integration, satisfaction and retention of nurses across the continuum of care in Maine. The 2021 program will mark the 7th year of meeting the professional development needs of nurses interested in assuming the role and responsibilities of a preceptor. The program is also open to clinical nurse educators and nurse managers interested in attending with RNs from their organizations, to learn the program content in preparation for working in partnership with the RN program attendees from their organizations. The model for a working partnership will guide and support the on-going development of new preceptors. In 2020, the learning audience expanded to also include Nursing school faculty interested in learning the program content, in preparation for working in partnership with RNs assuming adjunct faculty roles within their colleges/universities. The model for working in partnership will guide and support the on-going development of new adjunct faculty members.
This statewide program is provided free of cost for course participants, through funding provided by the Lunder-Dineen Health Education Alliance of Maine. Our program is led by our Advisory Team of Nurse Leaders representing nursing education and clinical practice across the continuum of care. We appreciate and value the guidance, oversight and expertise each member of the team brings to this program.
