Maine Veterans Home in Scarborough, Maine

Instituted in July of 1977, Maine Veterans' Homes is a not-for-profit public organization with six locations throughout the state, including Augusta, Bangor, Caribou, Machias, Scarborough, and South Paris. Caring for veterans through state-of-the-art programs and services and providing a full continuum of care is the core of the Maine Veterans' Homes' mission.

Maureen is the administrator of the Maine Veterans' Home in Scarborough, Maine. She manages all operational aspects of the Home. Maureen led her team in attaining the prestigious AHCA Silver Quality Award in 2014. She  is a member of the American College of Health Care Administrators. She is a licensed multilevel nursing home administrator and a registered nurse. Maureen is a board member of LeadingAge Maine & New Hampshire.

Maureen has 20 years’ experience in the health care setting. She embodies the person-centered culture change initiative, attaining the first CARF Person-Centered Long Term Care accredited community in the state of Maine. Maureen was a founding member of the Maine Local Area Network of Excellence (LANE), the state based stakeholder group for the Advancing Excellence Campaign. She has presented at local and national conferences regarding the culture change journey. Maureen chairs the region one administrators group. She has a master's degree in Leadership Studies, as well as a bachelor's degree in nursing.
